To Copenhagen

By plane:  There are plenty of cheap flights from around Europe into Copenhagen Airport at Kastrup. The airport is just outside the city so getting into downtown Copenhagen does not take long. There is a train from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station every 10 minutes or so. The ticket price is DKR 28.50/GBP 2.50/EUR 3.75.

A taxi from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station or to the pre-booked hotels is about DKR 200/GBP 18/EUR 26.

By train: The timetables for the trains are not as reliable as they used to be (things were so much  better in the old days…), but Intercity or Express trains roll in about twice every hour. From the station to the conference venue or to any of the hotels it is a less than 10 minute walk, see the map below

By car: Do check that your hotel has a garage. Finding a parking spot in central Copenhagen during the day is quite difficult, and if you do succeed, it costs DKR 19/GBP 1.70 /EUR 2.5 an  hour. You don’r need the car during the conference anyway—everything is within walking distance.

To the conference

Use tha map above to find your way from your hotel to The Danish Heritage Agency. The entrance is on the corner of  H.C. Andersens Boulevard and  Hammerichsgade. When you find yourself in a very large hall with a very green floor, you have found the right place.

Getting around in Copenhagen is quite easy with Metro or bus, or you could try one of the citybikes—or even rickshaw! There will be a city map in your conference bag.

The central Tourist Information Office is marked on the map above.and you can visit their website to see what is going on, while you are there.
